Conventional filters need to have their filter elements replaced or cleaned at regular intervals for sustained operation. Self-Cleaning Filters as the name suggests is a type of filter or strainer that overcomes this limitation by cleaning the elements in place without downtime.

Sungov’s Self-Cleaning Filters are based on the online automatic backwash or backflushing technology. In other words, the filtration cycle and the cleaning cycle happen simultaneously without interrupting flow. Industrial filtration of process water, cooling water, seawater intake systems are typical examples where Self-Cleaning Filters are used.
