A pressure vessel may be defined as any vessel or tank or chamber that is pressurized to a pressure more than the atmospheric pressure. So, a pressure vessel may be a simple product like a pressure cooker for domestic use or a large expansion vessel for industrial use.

Sungov offers designing and manufacturing of a pressure vessel or tank to several international standards like ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (BPVC) Section VIII Division 1, API 510, EN13445 and others. Sungov can also offer National Board (NB) registration of ASME Code (U) Stamped vessels. Sungov has experience in manufacturing vessels from pressure as low as 1 barg to as high as 450 barg. Size range manufactured is from 12mm diameter to 3500mm diameter. Materials handled are carbon steel, low temperature carbon steel, austenitic stainless steel, duplex stainless steel and nickel alloys. Typical construction is cylindrical shell with ellipsoidal heads, cylindrical shell with bolted flanged heads and spherical shells. Sungov has the engineering strength to work on other custom designs too. Sungov has licensed software PV Elite (from Hexagon PPM) for routine pressure vessel design. In addition to this, for shapes/construction that cannot be easily covered by Code of construction, Sungov can possesses licensed software for Finite Element Analyses and other stress analyses.

Sungov’s fabrication facilities include in-house plate bending (rolling) machines, semi-automatic Submerged Arc Welding (SAW) machines, welding positioners, rotators, EOT material handling among others. All of Sungov’s welders are qualified, as a minimum, to ASME Sec IX in SMAW, FCAW, GTAW and SAW primarily. All of Sungov’s welder qualification test (WQT) and welding procedure qualifications (PQR) and associated testing are performed under witness of third-party inspection agencies. Sungov has an extensive bank of welding procedure specifications (WPS) to choose from for any type of job.
